I am always looking for the best blogs to read with valuable information to make life easier, brighter, and / or more whole. What is your favorite blog to read? Why?
I read a variety of blogs that offer different information from trusted authors that I can count on to deliver high quality information. Here is a list of some of my local favorites and one that will be local in April at our upcoming MARC event.
Harrisonblog – If you want to know what is going on in the community and in local real estate, this is your resource. From coffee to art, to houses for sale, they will keep you up to date.
I love my burg – this is an excellent blog for all things Harrisonburg. The photography included is always exceptional as well. This blog highlights all the things that bring happiness in Harrisonburg.
Harrisonburg Housing Today – this well researched packed with date and analysis blog will keep you up to date on the home market, ins and outs of selling or buying a home, and some local events
The Citizen – this independent source for news tells important and interesting stories that might not otherwise be heard in Harrisonburg.
Rooted in Wellness – this is my favorite new blog that helps with so many aspects of feeling your best and knowing your self.
Let’s Fix Construction – this construction industry blog does more than most to educate, challenge the status quo, and to push the industry forward than any I have seen. If you are in the construction industry you need to follow this one.
Finally, I hope you continue to read my blog Design Matters. Thanks for clicking on the link and commenting on your favorite blogs to read in the comments below!
This luxury custom home continues to make progress in Rockingham County.
Our modern house on a hill is under construction. Herr and Company is hard at work bringing this home design into reality. It is always exciting to see your vision put into built form. This custom home in particular sits beautifully on the site. I helped place it and had a good idea of the views up to the house from the driveway and from the house out to the mountains, but the reality is even more beautiful than I had imagined.
The details on this home are minimal, which actually causes more precision to be required during construction. We are pleased with the care that the contractor is taking to get things right and it is certainly a team effort.
I will continue to update on this custom home project as it takes shape. I am very excited to see finishes as they start the next stage of construction.
You may remember last year I was wearing pink, painting my fingernails, wearing a tutu… all to raise awareness for the fight against Breast Cancer. I opted not to participate in Real Men Wear Pink this year with all the other things on my plate. However, I do still support the cause and hope that you will jointeamsandy.com to help make cancer obsolete!
The Real Men Wear Pink campaign is a fun way to raise money for a serious fight. The goal is to END cancer! My friend, Paul Riner with Riner Rentals is once again participating and wearing pink everyday for the month of October. This is a personal fight for him – read more about his story here – jointeamsandy.com.
Real Men Wear Pink gives men a leadership role in the fight against breast cancer. Community leaders around the nation use the power of pink to raise awareness and money for the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer initiatives, including innovative research, patient services, and education around screenings and risk reduction. It’s one important way we’re attacking cancer from every angle.
Apart from skin cancers, breast cancer is the most common cancer type in women.
In 2018:
About 268,670 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed.
About 63,960 new cases of carcinoma in situ (CIS) will be diagnosed in women (CIS is non-invasive and is the earliest form of breast cancer).
This is a fight we can win! Please jointeamsandy.com this year to help fully fund the needed research to END cancer!
