to help make cancer obsolete!

You may remember last year I was wearing pink, painting my fingernails, wearing a tutu… all to raise awareness for the fight against Breast Cancer. I opted not to participate in Real Men Wear Pink this year with all the other things on my plate. However, I do still support the cause and hope that you will to help make cancer obsolete!

The Real Men Wear Pink campaign is a fun way to raise money for a serious fight. The goal is to END cancer! My friend, Paul Riner with Riner Rentals is once again participating and wearing pink everyday for the month of October. This is a personal fight for him – read more about his story here –

Real Men Wear Pink gives men a leadership role in the fight against breast cancer. Community leaders around the nation use the power of pink to raise awareness and money for the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer initiatives, including innovative research, patient services, and education around screenings and risk reduction. It’s one important way we’re attacking cancer from every angle.

Apart from skin cancers, breast cancer is the most common cancer type in women.

In 2018:

About 268,670 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed.

About 63,960 new cases of carcinoma in situ (CIS) will be diagnosed in women (CIS is non-invasive and is the earliest form of breast cancer).

This is a fight we can win! Please this year to help fully fund the needed research to END cancer!
