Today is the final day of Small Business Week and we will be covering Matty Tesch’s favorite local business: Black Sheep Coffee! This little coffee shop is nestled inside the Ice House building and provides the perfect cozy space to enjoy a cup of coffee and pastry. Black Sheep Coffee sets itself apart from other coffee shops by creating an at-home environment with their mismatched furniture, living room rugs, and several plants scattered throughout the lobby. Their baked goods also match the environment, while customers can expect to find scones, cookies, and muffins almost daily, their baking team comes up with delicious and one-of-a-kind creations every day.

Aside from the environment, the baristas that keep this coffee spot up and running every day are incredibly helpful for new and experienced coffee connoisseurs. Their passion and knowledge for coffee go above and beyond the typical customer service, one would receive from a coffee chain. Aside from being knowledgeable about the coffee they produce, they have also created fun initiatives such as picking a random order from the mystery cup for the more adventurous customers. It is no surprise that this shop is a community favorite as this coffee house can function as a second home for coffee lovers, busy students, and book worms alike.
