    Hi, Charles,

    Great ideas!

We find that most of our homeowners try to incorporate at least one of the green remodeling features from your list. Some who pursued a truly green remodel used them all.

Of particular popularity across the spectrum are tankless water heaters. Some homeowners choose them solely because they take up less space. Most appreciate that they can improve their energy efficiency around 25% (according to the US Department of Energy at http://www.energysavers.gov/your_home/water_heating/index.cfm/mytopic=12820).

Tankless water heaters are a great option. I prefer the gas fired units over the electric based on durability. If you don’t have gas available, I would suggest a high performance hot water tank system that can be integrated with solar thermal.
